LSU fans throw trash onto field during Alabama game to protest after facemask call

Texas football fans started a trend with throwing trash on the field in protest of calls they disagreed with against Georgia earlier this season. LSU fans joined the movement against Alabama on Saturday.

Tigers fans started throwing debris onto Tiger Stadium's field on Saturday night in protest of a facemask penalty called against defensive end Sai'vion Jones in the third quarter against Alabama.

"Enough is enough, clowns," ESPN color analyst Kirk Herbstreit said on the broadcast in response to the fans.

Alabama eventually ended the drive with a touchdown, which gave it a commanding 28-6 lead late in the third quarter. Quarterback Jalen Milroe has been outstanding against LSU, with 117 rushing yards and three touchdowns, along with 97 passing yards.

The Longhorns were fined $250,000 by the SEC for the incident. It'll be wait-and-see to see if the conference levies warnings or fines to LSU, as well.
