Indiana is just different, and Taylor Swift experienced that firsthand through three nights of her Eras Tour concert in the city of Indianapolis.
During Swift's first show at Lucas Oil Stadium on Friday, the crowd made history for the highest attendance record in the venue. However, the said feat didn't even last long, with the second night of her tour breaking it once again.
Indianapolis, however, didn't stop there. In the third and final night, fans showed up and helped break the concert attendance record at the Indianapolis Colts' home field once again.
Lucas Oil Stadium has a maximum capacity of 70,000 people. The first performance already drew 69,000 fans, so it's safe to assume that the area was nearing full capacity on Sunday night.
"We're very very lucky the first two nights that we played here, Friday and Saturday, because each night we got the news that those crowds have broken the all-time concert attendance record for this stadium, which is unbelievable," Swift said.
"So tonight I'm very happy to report that YOU have now broken the all-time attendance record for a concert in this stadium. Isn't that wild? There's just never been this many people in this room for a concert before. You guys are something else."
What made the record even more amazing is the fact that the concert has drawn more fans than Super Bowl XLVI, which was held at the stadium back in 2012.
The aforementioned Super Bowl drew 68,658, per Statista. Sure enough, it pales in comparison to Swift's concert attendance record, which drew 69,000 fans in the first night and more in the next two.
For what it's worth, though, Swift's concert in Indiana received plenty of support from the City and the Colts themselves. Team owner Jim Irsay even held a promotion where he gave away several tickets for the Eras Tour.
Considering the turnout, it's definitely not surprising now why the NFL keeps showing Swift whenever she attends Kansas City Chiefs games to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
The concert in Indiana is Taylor Swift's final performance in the US before she goes to Toronto and Vancouver to officially close her tour.
