On ESPN's College GameDay panelist Pat McAfee said of one College Football Playoff contender, "I think they have championship brain."
In a segment that featured a chart like the fire danger sign you see at the edge of the forest, McAfee and the GameDay crew pushed the arrow all the way to "Championship Contender" for the Oregon Ducks."
"That's my team," Desmond Howard said, chiming in.
Complete with sound effects, McAfee said, "This team is built. Mentally, physically, offensively, defensively, special teams-wise."
McAfee urged the arrow further down with his pointer. "We could break this thing. This team's ready to go. This thumbs-down mentality that they're all built into, Gladiator. That means KILL. That is what Oregon is trying to do to everybody. I think they've got championship brain, and that is why they're championship contenders."
The playoffs demand another level of execution and intensity from every program. Right now, the arrow is pointing all the way to the right for the Ducks.
