4 Star Safety Visiting Wolverines

4 Star Safety Visiting Wolverines

The Wolverines are getting big news on the recruiting trail as four-star safety, Jordan Deck will visit Michigan football. Deck is 6-2 180lbs out of Texas.

According to On3 Sports, Deck is ranked as the 23rd best safety in the country for the Class of 2026.

He is planning five visits in the coming months to UCLA (May 16), Michigan football (May 30) Penn State (June 6), Ole Miss (June 13), and Baylor (June 20). However, even though he is not visiting Oklahoma, the Sooners are still considered the clear favorites in his recruitment, with an 80 percent chance of landing the talented Junior, according to the On3 prediction machine.

This would be a significant get for the Wolverines as they only have two commitments in the class of 2026. 3 stars: WR Jaylen Pile and CB Brody Jennings.

The good news in this case is that Michigan has been highly competive at landing recruits who have the Wolverines listed at the top of their lists.

For Example, Bryce Underwood, the No. 1 overall recruit, and the highest-ranked recruit in program history flipped from LSU to Michigan football after a reported $10 million NIL offer was on the table.

On top of the home-run move getting Underwood, the Wolverines also got five-star Andrew Babola and four-star Ty Hawywood on the offensive line. They also got EDGE Nate Marshall. All three of these guys were 5-stars at one time or another.

The Wolverines finished the 2025 recruiting cycle 6th in the nation. This is proving to everyone that Michigan football is here to stay post-Jim Harbaugh and that the trajectory of this program has success written over it.
