Josh Peck can't see the family resemblance between himself and his Red Dawn costar Chris Hemsworth.
On Thursday, Nov. 7, Peck shared a throwback Thursday Instagram photo from the 2012 film, a remake of the 1984 cult classic, in which he played Matt Eckert, Hemsworth's onscreen brother.
In the caption, Peck wrote: "#tbt to when a major studio believed @chrishemsworth and I could play brothers. Stay delulu y'all."

Fans in the comment section played along with the joke, saying they could see the resemblance of the two stars, while others reminisced on the movie.
"I was invested, I saw the vision ๐ such a great movie!!!!" one fan wrote. "If you squint hard enough you can see what they saw ๐," another joked.
The "major studio" Peck refers to in the post is MGM/UA Entertainment Company, which also released the original Red Dawn. Due to MGM's financial troubles at the time, the movie was sold to another distributor and finally released two years after it was made.
The remake of the action thriller will celebrate the 12th anniversary of its release on Nov. 21.
In the film, Peck and Hemsworth, 41, played the characters portrayed by Charlie Sheen and Patrick Swayze in the 1984 film.
Prior to Red Dawn, Peck was best known for playing Josh Nichols on the hit Nickelodeon TV show Drake and Josh from 2004-2007. Since 2012, Peck has acted in sitcoms such as How I Met Your Mother and Grandfathered. More recently, the actor played a more serious role as Kenneth Bainbridge, the physicist in charge of pressing the button detonating the first atomic bomb in history in 2023's Oppenheimer.
Peck has a history of poking a little fun at himself on social media. When Oppenheimer won best picture at the Oscars in March, Peck posted to TikTok a video captioned, "When people ask if I thought I'd be in a Best Picture."
