Firefighters from the Riverside County Fire Department were battling a quarter-acre brush fire Saturday at the Santa Ana River between Jurupa Valley and Riverside.
The fire was reported just after 2 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Market Street and Santa Ana River to the rear of 1400 Salmon River Drive, the Riverside Fire Department announced.
According to firefighters, the fire was burning in light-to-heavy fuels with no threat to the neighborhood.
Cal-Fire also responded and assumed the fire attack.
