With Bama 5-2 and in danger of missing the playoffs or falling out of the SEC race, the howls of indignation and impatience with new coach Kalen DeBoer and a now-reeling squad have reached a fever pitch.
It got downright scary on Tuesday's show when Vance from Georgia called and immediately said, "WILL YOU SHUT UP I'M TRYING TO TALK TO PAUL!"
Finebaum, perhaps concerned that this might be a welfare-check situation asked, "Van, you're the, exactly uh...who is there?"
"MY DAMN CAT!" Vance said.
Ever the professional, Finebaum said, "Okay," and continued the call.
It just means more, apparently, so much more that a meow won't be tolerated, not during a call into the show. This weekend the Tide have a opportunity to get right with a home game against #21 Missouri, who may be without starting quarterback Brady Cook, nursing an injured ankle.
Just to be safe, better put the cat outside.
