FLINT TWP. -- The Flint Township Police Department said Eduard Markman has been arraigned on multiple felonies following an alleged stabbing.
Police were called to the 4000 block of Lennington Ct. on Oct. 12 to investigate the alleged incident.
Police say officers found a 50-year-old female with severe stab wounds to multiple portions of her body, that officers provided medical aid and then rushed her to a local hospital and was treated for her injuries.
Officers determined that the woman's relative was the suspect in the attack. However, he fled the scene after stealing personal items and the woman's vehicle. Officers then found Markman hiding in the bedroom at a residence in Mt. Morris Township.
Markman has been arraigned on the following charges: assault with intent to murder, torture, armed robbery and assault with the intent to maim.
His bond was set at $100,000 and remains lodged at the Genesee County Jail.
Police allege Markman has a lengthy criminal record including prior arrests for domestic assault and battery.
