On Wednesdays we feature an in-state prospect who could be flying under the radar of college coaches. This week's prospect is Blytheville's Courtney Rogers.
CLASS: 2026
POSITION: Running back and defensive back
SIZE: 6-2, 210 pounds
GPA: 3.8
STATS: In 3 games this season: 724 total yards and 8 touchdowns and 3 defensive touchdowns. As a sophomore: 54 rushes for 428 yards and 11 touchdowns
Coach Gerrett Howard:
"In all honesty, what makes Courtney so good is his God-given size, strength, and athletic ability. He is a man-child standing at 6-2, 210 pounds and runs a 4.5 40. He has been repping 225 pounds on bench since the ninth grade, the kid has more muscles than a seafood buffet. He embodies things that you can't coach. We've had fast athletic players many years, but not many with his height and size. We've had big/tall players but not many with his athleticism. He is an intelligent young man as well boasting a 3.8 cumulative GPA, and the scariest thing is as his football knowledge increases the more of a terror he will be to opposing teams on the field."
