Madison, WI - "That's a good win against a good team that's experienced," were Wisconsin basketball coach Greg Gard's opening comments to the media following his team's 79-67 victory over the Montana State Bobcats on Thursday night. Gard added that his team "took a step in the right direction against a team that will likely have a really good year" in the Big Sky Conference.
With the victory, the 10th-year head coach's squad improved to 2-0. Now, the Badgers have "a quick turnaround" as they prepare to face the Appalachian State Mountaineers. Wisconsin welcomes App State to the Kohl Center this Sunday, November 10th. The game tips off at 11 AM central and will be streamed on Big Ten Plus.
Gard will hope to continue his team's efficient shooting against the Mountaineers. According to Gard, 75 of his team's 79 points against Montana State "were either at-the-rim twos, free throws or threes," and "that's what we want from an analytical standpoint."
