GROVELAND -- Stop by the Snowflake Fair on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 8 and 9, at the Groveland Congregational Church, 4 King St. Friday hours are 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The fair offers homemade baked goods, candies, preserves, cookies and many more treats. There are handmade crafts, holiday decorations and plenty of trinkets to shop. Local artisans will be showcasing their crafts and fine workmanship.
On Friday, an evening supper will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. On Saturday, there will be a breakfast from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and a lunch at 11:30 a.m.
Parking will be available behind the church and on the street.
Holiday craft fair in Andover
ANDOVER -- Voices of Hope, a nonprofit organization, is hosting its Holiday Craft Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at Ballard Vale United Church, 23 Clark Road.
The fair will include vendors and artisans selling their crafts and handiwork while raising funds for cancer research.
The nonprofit has more than 150 active volunteers dedicated to fighting cancer by raising awareness and funds for research. The organization also has a shared passion for artwork and the performing arts.

Sports program partners with Special Olympics
HAVERHILL -- The Arc of Greater Haverhill-Newburyport has announced a new partnership with Special Olympics and the Haverhill Stars Program to add more recreational and competitive sports to its programming.
The organization has previously supported several athletes who participate or compete in the Special Olympics.
Sports offered are basketball and alpine skiing from November to March, track and field and swimming from March to June, softball from June to August, and flag football and cheerleading from August to November.
The sports offered are both traditional and unified, meaning athletes with and without disabilities can participate.
Coaches and volunteers are needed as the Arc of Greater Haverhill-Newburyport is searching for committed, patient and enthusiastic candidates. Participants can become either a coach, assistant coach, or chaperon. The Special Olympics will provide sport-specific training for those in the coaching roles.
