Recently, many people were talking about the Wally Armour sign in Alliance that reads, "Sorry your feelings got hurt. Cheaper gas is on the way!"
We didn't get our feelings hurt. We are watching people choose to give away democracy.
We are learning that people value the price of eggs over civil rights.
We are facing the sad truth that we have to start censoring what we say, what we wear, what we post online, because this is no longer a free country.
We are adding locks to our doors, and considering a security fence.
We are getting out all of our guns, cleaning them, locating the ammo, restocking, because we are afraid of violence.
We are terrified for our daughters, who are facing a total loss of bodily autonomy. They can die due to lack of access to reproductive care. My daughter could have a miscarriage, and die because no doctor can do a D&C fetus until they can confirm there is no fetal heartbeat.
Our president will be a man who was found liable for sexually assaulting a woman, and then defaming her when she talked about it. What makes you think any woman is safe?
My trans and gay friends face losing all civil rights. Don't like your employee being gay? Fire them. But before you do, villainize them so they can never get work again.
You see someone on the street who offends you? Beat them. Rape them. Kill them.
