Tonight's Thursday Night Football should be another fun one, despite how the odds seem a big large, if not one-sided. The Baltimore Ravens are hosting the Cincinnati Bengals in an AFC North Divisional game.
These two teams squared off a few weeks ago in a fun little game that went to overtime. It ended in the Ravens' favor 41-38 in overtime. Since then, the Bengals have been trying to get out of their awful start to the season. They have won three of the last four games since then. Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is actually not playing too badly, completing over 70 percent of his passes.
Meanwhile, the Ravens are coming off a victory over the Denver Broncos, a game in which Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson threw a perfect passer rating against what is considered a decent Broncos defense. It will be interesting to see if Jackson can continue the success. The Bengals are a different beast as a divisional opponent, and much like the San Francisco 49ers, they have their backs against the wall.
FanDuel Sportsbook has the Ravens favored by 5.5 points. I don't feel good about it, but I'm leaning towards the Bengals in this. While I wouldn't be surprised to see the Ravens come out and run away with it, the last time these two teams fought, Derrick Henry was held in check. The over-under is set at 52.5 points, and I'd suggest the over. Yes, I'm looking at the matchup a few weeks ago in my decisions here, but there's no denying that Burrow is having a good season and is going to put some points up. Jackson will get his.
The one bet I am giddy on is the prop bet for Joe Burrow with his over-under on pass attempts. It's at 36.5 and I do think the Bengals will need to rely on his arm to stay in this thing. The Ravens secondary is just "OK", so I do think he'll surpass that number.
