ESPN projects Wisconsin to turn 2024 season around after slow start

After back-to-back blowout losses to Alabama and USC, respectively, questions started to rise for Wisconsin and Luke Fickell in year two. However, with three straight wins, the Badgers may be finding their groove late in October.

ESPN college football analysts Kyle Bonagura and Mark Schlabach both project Wisconsin to go bowling after the slow start. While Bonagura has the Badgers going to the Music City Bowl, Schlabach has them going to Tampa Bay in the ReliaQuest Bowl.

The Badgers will have some significant tests coming up if they want to go bowling this season. They will travel to Iowa City and Lincoln to take on the Iowa Hawkeyes and Nebraska Cornhuskers within the next few weeks. However, considering how they've played these past few weeks, it's a real possibility they can win both these games.

Wisconsin will also host the No. 1 team in the country, the Oregon Ducks, at Camp Randall Stadium on Nov. 16. However, this Badger defense that's looked strong over this three-game stretch will be tested on Saturday night when the No. 3 Penn State Nittany Lions come into Madison.
