How much do you trust artificial intelligence? It might come down to what you use it for.
Jacqueline Woods, the CMO of Teradata, a company that offers data analytics and AI solutions, believes that overall, many consumers might have more trust in AI than many business leaders because of the starkly different AI use cases in the two groups. For instance, a consumer might ask an AI solution to create themed party invitations or break down a complex topic they're interested in learning more about for fun.
"Those are relatively easy tasks and pretty rudimentary -- they're not lifesaving," Woods says. "AI makes such tasks easier and more convenient for the public, and I think people feel pretty good about that."
But in the business world, there's a lot more at stake. Woods explains that business leaders have to think about factors such as data veracity, bias, regulatory compliance, and data privacy and security when they use AI.
