Paul Finebaum Reveals College Football Playoff Lock Outside the Top 10

The latest College Football Playoff rankings were released Tuesday as teams make their final pushes for playoff spots. One team that received a significant boost in their playoff rankings is the Ole Miss Rebels.

The Rebels moved up five spots to No. 11 in the nation following their impressive victory over the previously No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs. If they win the remaining games of the season, this puts them in a strong position to secure a spot in the College Football Playoff for the first time in their history.

On the "Paul Finebaum Show," the SEC Network analyst stated that he has the Rebels making the playoffs this season.

"Ole Miss is heading to the playoffs," Finebaum said.

According to ESPN's Football Power Index, the Rebels are the No. 5 team in the country, trailing only the Alabama Crimson Tide, Texas Longhorns, Ohio State Buckeyes and Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

According to the FPI, the Rebels are the second-most efficient team in the country. They hold the No. 8 spot in offensive efficiency and the No. 6 spot in defensive efficiency. Only the Rebels, Crimson Tide and Buckeyes are listed in the top eight for both categories.

Ole Miss will end its season with a bye week this week before taking on the Florida Gators on the road and the Mississippi State Bulldogs at home to end the season.
