The picturesque city of Dubrovnik is set to transform into an open-air canvas for the 2023 edition of the LUMIART Festival of Lights. Scheduled from November 8 to 10, the festival promises an immersive celebration of light, art, and technology, highlighting the historic city's beauty through a series of innovative artistic displays and interactive installations. Organized by the Dubrovnik Tourist Board and produced by Pixel Design, the event will showcase the vibrant and evolving role of light art within the landscape of contemporary art.
Opening Ceremony at the Historic Sponza Palace
The festival begins on November 8 at 7:00 PM with an exciting Opening Ceremony at the iconic Sponza Palace, a Gothic-Renaissance landmark that has stood for centuries. Pixel Design, renowned for their expertise in visual art production, will premiere their 3D mapping presentation, "Evolution of Light." This dynamic display will narrate the transformative impact of light on art, technology, and human perception, taking audiences on a vivid journey that captures the essence of the festival. The 3D mapping show is scheduled to take place at 7:00, 8:00, and 9:00 PM each night, allowing ample opportunity for attendees to experience its mesmerizing effects.
