Ellie Bost
Naches Valley girls basketball, senior
The SCAC's leading scorer averaging 21.62 points per game, Bost crossed 1,000 points for her career on Tuesday, notching 21 in a 61-31 victory over College Place. That effort followed a 29-point outburst on Jan. 10 when the Rangers knocked off Wapato 61-35, beating the Wolves for the first time since Wapato's move down to Class 1A.
Abbygale Garza
Wapato girls wrestling, sophomore
The Wolf secured her fifth tournament championship of the season on Jan. 11 in Connell, using a trio of pins to take the 155-pound bracket at the Connell Invite. Garza is 24-0 this season, with tournament wins at the Hanford Winter Cup, the Royal Girls Tournament, Granger's Ironman Invite and the Eastmont Ladycats Kickoff Classic.
