Duluth Morning Show Getting A New Anchor

Changes are coming to morning television in Duluth - but there is a bit of a twist in this case. If you tune into Good Morning Northland on WDIO, you may have seen this big announcement.

Nyah Adams will no longer be on the morning show! She shared the news on social media at the beginning of the week.

The good news? She will still be seen on-air! She is staying at the news station but instead, will report and anchor the news on Sunday evenings instead.

Thursday (October 17th) was her last morning on Good Morning Northland. Morning Meteorologist Lea Zmurko shared a sweet ode to her friend and co-worker after her last shift. How sweet!

I can't speak for Nyah but I feel like she will definitely enjoy sleeping in, even a little. I am excited she is staying with the station and that we will still be able to see her reporting on the community.

Her replacement has not been announced just yet but stay tuned! Nyah joined the WDIO family in July of 2023.

She has been a great addition to the team. She grew up on the Iron Range and even graduated from Hibbing High School. She also loves sports and says Lake Superior is her favorite part of living in Duluth! I can't argue with that.

In other television-related news, did you hear the news? Guy Fieri was back in Minnesota and a Minneapolis restaurant will be featured on the show tomorrow night!
