Al Michaels Personally Puts Refs Under Fire During Ravens-Bengals

The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 35-34 on "Thursday Night Football" in Week 10.

After a back-and-forth matchup between the Bengals and Ravens, the game was decided late in the fourth quarter when Cincinnati attempted to win the game with a two-point conversion.

During the Bengals' last offensive play, they were unsuccessful in completing a pass on a two-point attempt. Despite Cincinnati's struggles, the NFL rules expert revealed that there were two missed flags on the play.

Kirk Herbstreit and Al Michaels, who were calling the game from the booth, asked the rules expert about the final drive when the game concluded and he mentioned that the referees missed a holding call and roughing the passer penalty.

Michaels then criticized the officiating crew on live television, mentioning that missed calls late in the game happen every week.

"Too many games end this way," Michaels said. "They just do... So frustrating for the fans."

A couple of fans responded to Michaels' comments, agreeing with the longtime NFL analyst.

"Al is an announcing apocalypse himself these days," said one fan.

"Even Al Michaels called out the refs on live TV," said another fan.

"also Al Michaels week to week tradition now of ripping the refs has been enjoyable this year.....and he hasnt been wrong," mentioned one fan.

"Al Michaels the only person that call out these refs every week. Props to him. NFL has the worst officiating out of the four major sports. These refs face no consequences for their missed or horrible calls," said one fan.

"Al been quietly cutting loose this season, I love it," said another fan.

"Makes me not want to watch, it ruins every close game," commented one fan.

With the loss, the Bengals fell to 4-6 while the Ravens advanced to 7-3.

While there may have been a controversial ending, Baltimore's offense certainly deserves a spotlight.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson posted four touchdowns and 290 yards, completing 25-of-33 pass attempts. He also added 33 yards on seven carries.

His No. 1 receiver was Tylan Wallace who recorded one touchdown and 115 yards on three receptions.
