Sean 'Diddy' Combs sued by woman claiming he 'violently gang raped' her in 2018

In a lawsuit filed in Northern California federal court and obtained by USA TODAY on Tuesday, Ashley Parham, described as a California resident, accused Combs of sexual assault and battery, abuse, false imprisonment and kidnapping. She claims to have virtually met Combs in February 2018 when a man she'd met at a bar started a FaceTime call with the Bad Boy Records founder outside the bar.

Parham's lawsuit alleged that after she claimed in the call that Combs had a hand in rapper Tupac Shakur's 1996 killing, the man from the bar "set her up" to be assaulted by Combs the following month. The alleged assault took place in the man's apartment in Orinda, California -- a city outside of Oakland -- on March 23, 2018, she says.

Combs threatened her with a knife and, along with several unknown accomplices, raped her, Parham says.

Kristina Khorram, whom Combs previously described as "my right hand" at Combs Enterprises, is among the co-defendants accused of assisting Combs' predatory sexual behavior and proclivities by setting up (Parham) to be sexually assaulted and raped by Defendant Diddy as well as assisting in covering up the crime thereafter."

She is seeking $50 million in damages and a jury trial.

USA TODAY has reached out to representatives for Combs and Khorram for comment. TMZ was first to report on Parham's lawsuit.

Parham allegedly told an officer with the Contra Costa Sheriff's Office, who was at the scene after responding to a neighbor's call, that she had been "violently gang raped" by Combs and accomplices.

She says she went to a hospital for treatment and testing and had a rape kit performed. While there, she says the Walnut Creek Police officers took her statement, which excluded Combs' name as she gave her testimony "because she believed she would be ignored ... and/or would be further harmed by Defendant Diddy if he discovered she named him to police."

She also claims she filed a report to the Orinda Police Department "but again was too afraid to name Defendant Diddy as one of her assailants."

USA TODAY has reached out to the Contra Costa Sheriff's Office, the Walnut Creek Police Department and the Orinda Police Department for comment.

The lawsuit comes one day after six civil lawsuits were filed against Combs, alleging the sexual assault of a minor and multiple rape claims between 1995 and 2021. At least a dozen civil lawsuits have been launched against the hip-hop legend over the past year since his ex-girlfriend Cassie accused him of raping and abusing her over a decade in a lawsuit that was quickly settled.

Combs' lawyers have said in a court filing that Cassie received an eight-figure payment as part of the settlement.

A month ago, Combs was arrested and charged with racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has maintained his innocence amid the civil and criminal allegations against him.
