Gamers go wild as an 81-rated game goes free-to-play on all platforms

GAMING is far from the cheapest of hobbies. Aside from all of the expensive consoles, the games themselves are not wallet friendly.

That's why it's always better if you can 'try-before-you-buy', particularly when making these big purchases.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden launched in February 2024, but many missed out on it due to all of the excellent releases this year.

Now you have a chance to play it without paying anything, as a new demo for the game has launched on all platforms.

The demo will allow you to play up until the first mission of the game, giving you a good chance to get a feel for it.

It's available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, so most people will be able to give it a try.

The blurb reads: "Hunt ghosts as two memorable characters in a story-driven Action-RPG where your decisions carry dramatic consequences.

"Torn between honoring your oath to the living and saving your departed partner, how far will you go for love?"

Banishers is also currently 20% off on Steam, so you can save some money if you decide to take the plunge.

Usually £44.99/$49.99 you can grab it now for just £34.99/$39.99, making it a bargain.

It was developed by Don't Nod, a studio known for its excellent choices matter games like Life is Strange.
