Ramsey County is working on plans to reconstruct Maryland Avenue from Clark Street to Edgerton Street with the project scheduled to start in 2026.
To facilitate dialogue among community members, the county will be hosting an open house from 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Arlington Hills Community Center, located at 1200 Payne Ave.
The reconstruction includes replacing pavement, improving drainage systems and upgrading pedestrian facilities. According to Ramsey County, preliminary design for the project took place from fall 2023 to 2024, and construction plans will be finalized in 2025.
On top of the one next Wednesday, more open houses will be held to get resident input. To learn more about Maryland Avenue's reconstruction, visit tinyurl.com/MarylandAve2026.
