Delta Air Lines is planning to increase frequencies on at least three routes that do not involve any of its nine hubs early next year. However, one of the routes originates from a focus city - where it has a larger presence compared to other non-hub destinations in its network.

It comes as the legacy carrier is planning to increase capacity to the state of Alaska next summer. Delta will also introduce a new route between its hub in Detroit and the Bay Area.
From two to three and three to four
According to independent aviation blog, Ishrion Aviation, Delta is planning frequency increases between Raleigh and Orlando, San Diego and Las Vegas, and Sacramento and Las Vegas. Currently, flights between San Diego International Airport (SAN) and Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) operate twice daily. Beginning January 6, 2025, the frequencies will be boosted to three flights per day on select days, according to aviation data and analytics provider Cirium.
