Bills Ready To 'Get Rolling' With Amari Cooper

The Buffalo Bills knew they needed a top receiving threat if they were going to be considered contenders in the AFC like the standings of the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs.

That's why the team spent a third-round pick on Cleveland Browns Pro Bowl receiver Amari Cooper.

Cooper has become a controversial receiver to this point in his career with previous stops with the Dallas Cowboys, Browns, and Oakland Raiders all sandwiched together.

While talks about his willingness to go all out in games remain, the Bills believe their receiving room got a lot better after Tuesday.

"First and foremost, believe in the receivers that we already have in the room," Bills head coach Sean McDermott said. "We'll see when Amari gets here how we can get him up to speed and integrated into what we do and how we do things. It's never about one guy; we're thankful to have him, but it's never about just one guy.

"It's about the team. We're anxious to get him on board here and get rolling."

Buffalo can be high on their receiving room, but they clearly needed to find a way to add to their room with a veteran top threat.

With Cooper, the Bills didn't give too much of a draft pick and don't even owe the former Cowboy a lot of money on his own salary.

And that means all the difference in the world for Buffalo.
