BLOTTER: Police reports for Nov. 9

A man was arrested after police said they responded to a call of a person trying to break into a home in the 2300 block of LaSalle Avenue at 6:27 a.m. Friday. The 50-year-old homeless man was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration, second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal impersonation. Officers said when they arrived on scene they found the suspect coming out of the side door of the home. They said he ran away from them, crashing through a vinyl fence, before he was taken into custody.

ARREST

A Buffalo man was arrested on weapons charges after police responded to a report of man with a gun in the 1600 block of Main Street at 1:18 a.m. Sunday. The 29-year-old man was charged with second-degree menacing and two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He is accused of threatening another man with a handgun. Police said they recovered a replica Glock hand gun and a pair of brass knuckles.

ARREST

An inmate at the Niagara County Correctional Facility was arrested after reportedly attacking a corrections officer. The 31-year-old woman was charged with second-degree harassment and second-degree obstructing governmental administration.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

Police responded to a report of property damage on the 1600 block of Franklin Street in Newfane at 4:29 p.m. Sunday. The male victim told a Niagara County Sheriff's deputy that a falling branch damaged his vehicle while a landscaper removed a tree on his neighbor's property. He said he was unable to make contact with the company and was advised that it was a civil matter.

THEFT

Police are investigating a theft on the 1800 block of Hess Road in Newfane. The male victim told a Niagara County Sheriff's deputy that a package valued at $180 was stolen between noon and 7:30 p.m. Monday from his porch. Neighbors did not report seeing anything and there are no cameras in that area.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

Police responded to a report of property damage on the 600 block of Lake Street in Wilson at 8:51 p.m. Saturday. The male victim told a Niagara County Sheriff's deputy that eggs had been thrown at his residence. He wanted the incident documented.
