Economic Black Out called for Feb. 28

On Feb. 28, at midnight, people across the country are encouraged to take part in a boycott that will last a full 24 hours.

"The 24 hour Economic Blackout as our first initial act, we turn it off. For one day we show them who really holds the power," said the People's Union Founder John "J" Schwarz, in a statement sent to the AFRO. "Corporations and banks only care about their bottom line."

"If we disrupt the economy for just one day, it sends a powerful message,"continues the statement. "If they don't listen we make the next blackout longer -- this is our first action."
