TRI-CITIES, Wash.-Ready to start your Thanksgiving fast? Several Turkey Trots around the region offer the opportunity to support good causes, enjoy community and earn that Thanksgiving dinner with some pre-meal physical activity.
Thanksgiving 2024 Turkey Trots around the region.
Wenatchee: Give NCW Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving to benefit the North Central Washington Community Foundation. Event includes a kids race, 5K and 10K. Races start at 9 a.m., 9:15 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
Yakima: Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 2024 at the Yakima Greenway. Event includes a costume contest and the winners will receive pies. Race starts at 9 a.m.
Prosser: Whitstran Elementary Turkey Trot on Friday, Nov. 22. Event will feature a one-mile race for kids and families and will include a raffle for prizes and live turkeys.
Benton City: Turkey Trot at 8 a.m. on Thanksgiving. The community is invited to run or walk together at the second annual event.
Tri-Cities: 2024 Run for the Red Turkey Trot in Columbia Park on Thanksgiving. 1 mile or 5K race to support the Red Cross Home Fire Campaign starts at 9 a.m.
Basin City: 12th Annual Basin City Turkey Trot at 8:30 a.m. at Basin Slope Road in Mesa. Free cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate will be available after the race and the top three 5K finishers will receive prizes.
Walla Walla: Salvation Army Turkey Trot 2024 on Thanksgiving. Starts at 8 a.m. at the WWCC athletic fields parking lot with proceeds benefitting the Salvation Army's efforts in the community.
Milton-Freewater: Pioneer People Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving. 5K run/walk sponsored by the Mac-Hi Pioneer People Booster Club starts at 8:30 a.m. in Yantis Park.
Pendleton: 12th Annual Club 24 Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving. 5K or 10K race will run along the Pendleton River Walk starting at 9 a.m. with proceeds benefitting Made to Thrive.
